Originating from India, Thai massage is a unique body therapy that spread to Thailand and has been practised for thousands of years, with wondrous effects.
How is a Thai massage performed?
Thai massage works on the body in four positions. Similar to Shiatsu, clients lay on a futon at floor level and wear loose clothing. The body is moved into different postures, similar to yoga, helping to develop muscle flexibility and mobility. The parts of the body are separated in ‘Sen’ lines, with our therapist using a gentle rocking rhythm with palm pressure in order to relax and open up the body. The thumbs are used to work pressure in the Sen lines to help release stiffness before the stretches commence.
We offer a traditional Thai sports massage and a foot massage, uniquely tailored to your needs. We currently perform a 1 hour sports massage treatment for £47 or a 90 minute treatment for £60. This treatment is particularly beneficial for dancers, posture and athletes.
